Biondi Copy’s 2021 Wrap-Up

It’s been a year full of growth, challenges and gratitude for many of us and I’m no different.

When I started this journey in 2019 I knew only one thing. That I wanted to change my professional life and build something that I could call my own.

Almost two years on and those dreams are starting to come to fruition.

Before I sign-off for the Christmas holidays I wanted to reflect on some of the highs and lows of Biondi Copy. After all, it’s your support that has helped to bring Biondi Copy to where it’s at today.

Global Partners

This year I’ve collaborated with businesses from all over the world. It’s truly a fascinating part of the job when you get to meet (virtually at least) different people from all walks of life. That could be literally anywhere on the planet!

Copywriting has no geographical boundaries and this year I’ve worked with folks from Canada, Netherlands, Ireland and here in England including my home county, Cornwall.

Plus countless more that although we didn’t end up working together, we built connections for down the line.

Gotta Write ‘Em All

As a copywriter you inevitably find yourself writing both copy and content. Whilst similar (I mean they both use words) there’s a different function for each type. This blog is content and my website would be copy for example.

Lucky for me, I’ve had my share of both and personally, I like jumping between the two styles. It keeps me fresh and avoids monotony.

For 2021, I’ve created 100+ pieces of copy and content.

Not too shabby!

As some of you will know, I operate as a freelancer whilst still holding my previous role in the motor trade, part-time so this has kept me plenty busy.

Growing, Organically

When I first started, other than paying to learn all about copywriting, I wanted to see how I could grow my business organically, without spending on Ads and the like.

That’s not to say promotion is bad or that I don’t agree with it, I do. For me it was about testing how much I could grow without it and then when I’m ready, spending a bit to measure and compare the results.

Let’s see how it panned out!

Well, in 2021 I’ve reached over 10,000 accounts through Instagram and Facebook.

I’m super proud of this seeing as I only tend post once or twice per week and have a modest following on both platforms, around 300 followers combined.

And as you can see, Facebook performs way better for me but my growth on Instagram is huge at 5.7K %.

‘Bout That Blog

To date, I’ve seen a 62% increase in total website views compared to last year in 2020.

Much of this is owed to my blog that I’ve been publishing consistently since September this year.

Now, bearing in mind that’s only 4 months ago, I couldn’t be happier with the results.

This year I’ve published 18 blog posts (this will be 19) and have accumulated almost 1000 views. With around 48% visiting my site as a result.

Let’s hope this trend continues in 2022.

It’s a grateful year for me and I’m blessed to share it with you lot.
